Aldus font
In 1954 the Aldus font was designed by German calligrapher Hermann Zapf. He named this font in the name of the famous Venecian printer Aldus Manutius. The work ofAldus Manutius was popular & important in the Renaissance Period. Hermann Zapf was inspired by him. It was introduced by Linotype Library as a text font which is lighter than Palatino. It is an updated form of old face typeface. The Aldus font gives the text a feeling of elegance which has typical renaissance. Hermann Zapf was a teacher, calligrapher, book and type designer. Hermann Zapf was connected with Stempel, Bitstream , Linotype, Hell, and ITC. The Aldus font is an important fonts of the 20th century. It is the trademark of Linotype GmbH.
