The Sistina font was created by Hermann Zapf in the year 1950. It beared the name Aurelia Titling at the time of its birth and later the name was changed. It is a heavy supplement of Michelangelo Titling based on the studies of the inscriptions of Rome. Originally The font was available exclusively in capitals.
