Alternate Gothic font

The Alternate Gothic is derived from a Linotype Font Family. It has been founded by Morris Fuller Benton in the year 1903. The three respective weights of Alternate Gothic are both narrow and bold. However, in the former twentieth century, the concept of type “families” was not formed at all and though Benton designed these sans serifs to reconcile with each other, they were designated different names by the foundry. The Alternate Gothic is vigorous and is the perfect choice when rigid typographic statements are about to fit into firm spaces.
Designed 1903 by Morris Fuller Benton.
