Thorowgood font was designed by William Thorowgood back in the year of 1836. The Thorowgood font was originally released by the Stephen Blake typefoundry situated in the United Kingdom. The font types were first cut by an English typefounder named Robert Thorne who is the predecessor of William Thorowgood, and it was first shown in his specimen books in the early 19th century. The fat face of Thorowgood was revived in the roman and italics. Most of the serifs are typically flat and horizontal. The design of The font is owned by Linotype.
